ONLINE REGISTRATION EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 11TH!! 

Day of Race Registration change Fee

Registration on day of race will be $45.00

On-site $10.00 event change fee ( Ex; Participant changes 10K run to 5K run)

Registration closes 30 minutes before each race

Day-of-race entrants will complete a paper registration form before the beginning of the race. Onsite registration will begin at 7:30 am, and close promptly at 8:30 am.

Parking

 

There is plenty of free on-street and lot parking surrounding the staging area.

 

Insurance

Race events are insured and sanctioned through Lions Clubs International. Each participant must submit an event-specific participant waiver and release of liability form with the registration application. For your convenience, these forms are embedded in the online registration application.

 

Register Online and Save!

 

Online registration fees for both the 10k run or the 5k run or walk are $35 general, $30 students until Wednesday, September 5th. There is no transaction fee for registering online.

 

Online registration will end at midnight September 5th. Anyone not registered by that date and time must register onsite the day of the race.

Registration fees include an event tee shirt (if registered by midnight August 29th), chip timing, refreshments, parking, and entry into the after-race prize drawings.

 

Tee shirts are guaranteed to participants registered by midnight on August 29th only. Tee shirts will not be available to day-of-event registrants.

Pre-Race Packets and Start Times

Fri, Sept 13th from 3-6pm in front of College of Optometry, 2221 Pacific AVE Forest Grove OR 97116. 

 

Race Start Tmes:

9:00 am start- 10K runners and 5k walkers

9:15 am start- 5k runners

Participation Requirements

 

At the time of registration, you must:

 

  • be 18 years of age or older; or if you are under 18, you must obtain parental permission before participating in the event.

  • agree to and sign a waiver of release of liability; if you are a minor, your parent or guardian must sign on your behalf.

  • be medically and physically able to perform in the event and be properly trained.

  • agree to abide by all rules and/or instructions relating to the event that may be communicated before the beginning of the race.

Timing, Awards and Prizes

All participants will be timed through a digital chip attached to the runner or walker's shoe. Timing chips must be returned after the race. 

 

Awards will be made to top three male and female finishers in age groups and categories. Fantastic door prizes will be drawn immediately following the Run/Walk. Must be present to win. 

Water, First Aid, Restrooms, etc.

​Water will be available to 10K runners at mid course, and  to everyone at the awards site after the race. Medical personnel will be onsite. There will be no restrooms along the route, but restrooms will be open in the College of Optometry building at Pacific University near the registration table. Snacks are available at the end of the race.

Route Markings & Course Etiquette

Signs and volunteers to direct participants will be at intersections along each route, and mile/km markings will be posted for both the 10k and 5k courses.

Optional Donation Opportunity

If you wish to make an extra donation to  Forest Grove Lions sight improvement programs, you can do so during your race registration. If you don’t wish to run or walk in the race, you can donate directly by check to Forest Grove Lions. Please note your check: Run/Walk for Sight fund. Thanks for your generosity!

We will also be collecting Glasses and Hearing Aides for the Lions sight and Hearing foundation.
